MAYLA member programs adhere to the rules published by USA Lacrosse.  Occasionally, variations are made after considering exhaustive surveys of rules in leagues representing nearly 170,000 youth players and research and published literature from the USA Lacrosse Sports Science and Safety Committee, among other factors.

MAYLA also provides summary rule sheets for boys and girls lacrosse.  They can be used as game-day resources.
